ACC Expands Its Lineup with 5 Exciting Products in 2026

In the ever-competitive fishing industry, the need to evolve always exists.

ACC Crappie Stix takes a decidedly conservative approach to that idea, offering a few new products each year that complement the existing line-up of their distinctive green crappie rods and other fishing accessories.

“We’re very slow to market with new items,” ACC owner Andy Lehman said, “There has to be a demand and the product must fit and make sense.”

Fall 2025 marks a major step forward for ACC, which has become a significant presence in the crappie rod business since entering the industry just over 10 years ago. New products coming soon to ACC outlets and the company website include a new series of trout rods and long-awaited reels.

“We never want to rush a new product just to say we have a new product,” Andy said. “But we are excited about what we have to offer coming this fall.”

5 new ACC products coming soon:

    • Trout rods ACC ventures slightly out of the crappie market with a line of lighter, softer-action rods suitable for trout fishing and for panfishing. “It actually was an easy transition in form and function, so it was not a huge step for us,” Andy said. “Guys that like the lighter-action crappie rods (like the one-piece 7’ crappie rod) will like these too. They will be suitable for trout, for bluegills, and also for crappie.” Expected to be available this fall, the rods come in 6’, 6’6”, and 7’ models.
    • Spinning reels Long in development, the new spinning reels have been discussed, tested, analyzed, and re-tested for several years. “We wanted to get it right,” Andy said. “We wanted three things: a lightweight body, a smooth bearing system, and a smooth drag. We got them.”  The reels, which have the distinctive ACC green on the spool, feature a 6:1 gear ratio and pair great with perfect balance with both the traditional ACC crappie rods and with the new trout rods. They should be available this fall.

    • Kids combos ACC will soon fill another void with kids combos. A lightweight but quality two-piece kids rod – the Castin’ Stick – has long been available, but finding the exact reel to match them proved to be a problem. The company solved that problem with a small spincaster that works well on the kids rod. “It actually functions as a decent reel,” Andy said. “We’re happy with the set-up.” The kids combos should be the first arrival among the new products, perhaps as early as later this summer.
    • 1/24 jig heads While the jig heads are not a new product and various sizes are already available, the 1/24-oz model is new. It comes in a variety of colors and “fills a void between the 1/32 and the 1/16,” Andy said. The other sizes have proved to be good sellers, and Andy said he expects the 1/24 to fit in well. “You can do a lot of things with it,” he said.
    • Clear line Also coming this fall, a new look will be available for the copolymer line that ACC introduced last year. Along with braided line, the earlier version of the copolymer came only in hi-vis spools. While the copolymer has been a great seller, the need for a clear line became evident. “There’s just a lot of fisheries out there with clear water and spooky fish,” Andy said. “We realized we needed a clear version of the copolymer.” For clear-water crappie fishermen or perhaps trout fishermen, the new line will come in 4-, 6, 8, and 10-lb., 300-yard spools.
