They all stood.

September 24, 2016

We have all witnessed the disrespect that’s happening in the NFL. I am personally disgusted by it. However there is hope and a lot of it. It seems that the fishing community no matter the species posseses a strong moral compass. I have seen many situations where people have helped with situations from stranded boaters to fishing tips to fund raisers for diabetes and helping someone go through cancer. We do stick together as a whole and generally are a Christian based group that sees itself as a family. One of my favorite cause is the HOOAH assosiation, We have helped lots of folks get back on their feet.

So back to my point. before a Championship Bass tournament  the National Anthem was played and almost 300 men and women stood up in their boats in the dark. These are people from all walks of life. Most of whom are hard working, tax paying, middle class Patriots. No multi million dollar contracts here just anglers with a love for something and the desire to go out and give it their best shot. From 20 yr old boats to brand new high dollar rigs, from 18 yr old anglers to 70 yr young at heart Veterans. They all stood, no whiny disrespecting going on here. I guess oppression doesn’t really kick in till you have a 20 million dollar contract, funny how that works isn’t it?

ACC Crappie Stix is a based on Christianity, family, friends and the love for this Country. If you do not agree that is your right as an American. So for every over paid, whiny anti American that chooses to sit there are many more Patriotic, hard working Americans that are willing to stand up for what they believe in. Thank you for reading and have a great weekend and take a kid fishing. Andy Lehman.
