The ACC 8′ Spinnin’ Stix (2-pc) is an all-around crappie workhorse. At 8 feet, it adds casting distance, float control, and line mending while staying light in hand. The high-modulus blank keeps sensitivity high and recovery crisp, and the Medium/Fast profile cast small jigs, manages slip bobbers/power cork rigs, and even pulls small cranks when fish spread out. The cork mid-seat handle balances the longer blank for relaxed, accurate presentations.

Casting 1–3″ plastics/hair jigs along edges, brush, and stake beds
Slip bobbers / power cork with minnows or small jigs
Light crank pulling when searching for scattered slabs
Pair with 8–15lb braid + 6-10 lb leader for sensitivity + stealth
Pick 8′ when you want meaningful reach over 6’–7′ sticks for float control and distance, without jumping to the leverage of 10’+ jigging rods.
Moderate vs Fast for floats?
Fast helps drive hooks on longer line; the Medium backbone cushions thin-wire jig hooks.
Travel friendly?
Yes—2 pieces pack easily while keeping a crisp feel.
Best reel size?
A 500-1000 size spinning reel balances the 8′ length and manages light line cleanly.

Bought this rod as a Lake Michigan perch rod. After feeling it I tied a 1/2 oz tube jig on it and started jigging for lake trout with it. After catching and handling a dozen 12-18 lbs lakers this is now one of my favorite rods for jigging and twitching. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is cause of the eyes. If this rod had recoil eyes on it I would order 5 more. The first eye isn’t your standard eye and I had a few hang-ups on it. Still, this rod, in my opinion is more then just a crappie rod. It’s a great walleye, trout, salmon and bass rod as well.

I do a lot casting in spring time and with this rod I just flip out 30/40foot.
It saves my shoulders.

I bought this as a gift for my adult son. Put a 3000 size Johnny Morris reel with 15#braid and a 6’ flouro 4# braid. Keep breaking off the leader as his brake was set to tight. Used up the flouro leader and was able to pull jigs off of the wood with the braid. The rod is well made and affordable. He hasn’t done any vertical jigging with it yet but the casting end of use has been excellent.

Nice feel in the hand, limber enough to show light bites when drifting(the bright green color is easily seen) & great graduated stiffness throughout it’s length. A ‘keeper’. Thank you!

I love the sensitivity of this rod….my only draw back is it’s a two piece rod…
