Description

The ACC 6’6″ Spinnin’ Stix (2-pc) packs easily without giving up the close-quarters precision you need for shooting docks, threading tight gaps, and placing baits along brush edges. Its high-modulus carbon blank and Fast tip load smoothly to launch light jigs, while Medium power gives you the leverage to steer slabs away from posts and cables. The upgraded AA cork split-grip and 8 MicroWave guides keep casts straight, quiet, and tangle-resistant—ideal for bank missions and road trips.

Ideal techniques & setups

  • Dock shooting / skipping 1–1.75″ plastics or hair jigs

  • Pin-point casting to seawalls, walkways, brush & stake beds

  • Light float work where reach helps manage slack and wind

  • Pair with 8-10lb braid + 4–6 lb copplymer leader for sensitivity + stealth

1-pc vs 2-pc

Choose 2-pc for portability and easy storage (bank trips, travel). Pick the 1-pc if you want a single-blank feel and don’t need the travel convenience.

FAQ

Will a 2-pc lose sensitivity?
High-modulus blank construction keep sentitivty at a max

Is Fast action too stiff for tiny hooks?
The tip loads easily with 1/32–1/8 oz; Medium power protects light leaders and still turns fish.

Best reel size?
A compact 500-1000 size spinning reel balances perfectly and manages light line cleanly.

    6’6” dock shooter

Really nice rod worked great but would like a little softer tip for casting light jigs

Love it. I do wish that ACC made a one P 7″ rod. with a solid cork handle.

    Great rods for anything

I bought two of these 6’6″ for crappie fishing about 3 years ago but started using them more recently in the winter for trout and sucker fishing, they work great these are the only rods I will buy from now on. They are very light weight and have the perfect amount of backbone. I noticed the prices have gone up since I bought these rods a while back ago but they are still a fair price and definitely worth it. I paired mine up with a KastKing Zephyr reel 1000 you wont be disappointed. My only complaint with these rods are they don’t make enough one piece rods, a 7ft full cork grip one would be perfect also I am not a fan of the bottom eyelet I know it is suppose to make it cast farther but I had opposite experiences especially if you have fresh line on your reel that is still a little twisty it will get jammed up in the eyelet I feel it is too small of a opening and I can’t cast as far as I would with similar rods that have a regular eyelet. I plan to get 2 of the 8ft ones in the future as well to see how it will handle catfish even though they are meant for crappie I think they will do good and be really fun.
